Maximum of two visitors per patient applies in most areas. Due to physical space constraints in some units, it is advised to limit visitors at the bedside – family and friends are encouraged to schedule their visits.
To maintain a restful, healing environment we ask that all family, friends and visitors adhere to the visiting hours. Please follow directions as given from time to time by medical professionals.
You are encouraged to speak in a quiet tone and place cell phone on vibrate.
Many patients have roommates. Please be respectful of other patients and their property .
All visitors are expected to treat hospital staff with respect and to refrain from language or behaviour (physical or non-physical) that is offensive, abusive and intimidating.
You are encouraged to place cell phones on vibrate and any other audio such as TV as low as possible or make use of headphones.
Respect the environment and switch off electrical appliances when not in use.
You are expected to treat hospital staff, visitors, and other patients with respect and to refrain from language or behaviour (physical or non-physical) that is offensive, abusive or intimidating.
In case you are sharing a ward with other roommates, please respect the privacy of others and draw the curtain separator when appropriate.

Visiting Hours

As of Monday October 26, Mater Dei Hospital will be doubling its visiting hours. We believe that this will benefit you and our patients whilst affording you more flexibility and accessibility. For more details please choose the ward you wish to visit here:

Exceptions are only made in extreme circumstances.

Please choose the ward/department from the above drop down menu to get the correct contact information and visiting hours. The Map on the right hand side will show the location of the ward/department highlighted according to the official colour code together with the floor level.
